A railway station is a place where trains stop and start from. It is a crowded and familiar place to all. From railway station people get into the trains and get down from the train. In a big railway station there is a shed over the platform but at a small station it is open. A railway station has its master’s room, ticket counter and waiting room for male and female. There are restaurants, shops, newspaper corners, book stalls and other stationary shops in it. Passengers come here from different places and also go different places from here. Passengers always gather here to collect their tickets. They push one another to go ahead. When the train comes it becomes a noisy place and when train leaves the station it becomes calm and quiet. The flagman moves with red and green flags. The hawkers make different sounds, beggars continue their begging and all people also continue their own works in the station. Thus a railway station is a place of great noise.

 

 

 

 

 

  Traffic jam means where vehicles cannot move freely and traffic comes to a standstill. It occurs almost all the big towns and cities. Especially it occurs near bus stand, railway crossing, and turn of a road, at the junction of various roads or near a market. It occurs mainly in the morning and afternoon on working days. Traffic jam causes untold sufferings to people. Students cannot reach schools in time. It kills our time and lessons our working hours. It causes great sufferings to the ambulance carrying dying patients and the fire brigade vehicles. The increasing of traffic jam hampers our economy. So, well spacious roads should be constructed. One-way movement of vehicles should be introduced. The driver should be trained in order to cope with the other developed nations. After doing all these things we can hope to have a good traffic system for our easy and comfortable movement.

A village fair is an annual gathering of the village people. It is a traditional part of our culture and civilization. It is usually held on the bank of a pond, a river, a canal, or in some open space. It is held on the occasion of some religious festivals or on the first day of the new year or the last day of the year. It is a much looked for the day for the villagers. A village fair is a kind of small exhibition of rural arts and crafts. Things of various kinds  are bought and sold at the fair. Dolls, fancy goods, toys, sweets, wooden and earthen things are sold in a village fair. Circus parties, magic shows, and merry-go-rounds are the special attractions of a village fair. Thus a village fair plays a very important role in the rural life of our country. It removes the monotony of village life.
